Dr. Michael J. Hoover brings decades of experience and a patient-centered philosophy to Hoover Dental. As a dedicated general dentist, he coordinates comprehensive and conservative care tailored to each patient’s individual needs. By combining advanced dental technology with high-quality products and personalized treatment planning, Dr. Hoover helps patients achieve lasting oral health and confident smiles.

Born and raised in Omaha, Dr. Hoover is a proud graduate of St. Robert’s Elementary School, Creighton Preparatory School, Creighton University, where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in 1988, and Creighton School of Dentistry, where he received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 1993. Following dental school, he completed a one-year residency at UNMC/VA before entering private practice in 1994. From 1994 to 2000, he also served as an adjunct clinical instructor at Creighton School of Dentistry, helping educate future dental professionals.

Dr. Hoover values the relationships he has built with generations of patients at Hoover Dental. He appreciates the trust patients place in the practice and takes pride in providing compassionate, attentive care. Together with his team, he strives to create an environment where patients feel heard, supported, and confident in their dental health journey.

He began his career in dentistry in 1993, joined Hoover Dental in 1994, and became the owner of the practice in 2011. His passion for dentistry is rooted in a strong belief in serving others. Dr. Hoover considers dentistry both a profession and a calling, and he is grateful for the opportunity to positively impact patients’ lives through quality care and teamwork.

Outside the office, Dr. Hoover enjoys cheering on the Creighton Bluejays, tending to the Hoover Dental gardens, and spending time with family and friends.
